Mesotherapy Cellulite Treatment
What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is an aesthetic medical treatment that involves tiny injections of pharmaceuticals directly into fatty problem areas of the body. All formulas are customized to treat the patient’s specific condition. The procedure, at Norris Cosmetic, is only performed by Dr. Lutzker. Cellulite and fatty bulges that are stubborn, persistent and resistant to exercise and diet respond very well to this treatment.
How does Mesotherapy work?
Microinjections of an individualized formula are placed in the fat. This causes the fat cells to stop storing fat, to leak fat, and then the empty fat cells fuse shut. Once fused shut the body recognizes the cells as useless and excretes them. Because the cells are excreted the effect is PERMANENT.
What areas of the body can be treated?
These injections can fat-contour, “spot reduce”, areas such as sagging lower eyelids, double chins, sagging upper arms, chest, abdomen, love handles, saddlebags, buttocks, inner and outer thighs and almost any area where cellulite or pockets of fat occurs.
Mesotherapy is proven to reduce areas of fat and cellulite that do not typically respond to diet and exercise. In addition to fat reduction, the procedure can rejuvenate collagen further toning and tightening areas to treat sagging and cellulite.
How does Mesotherapy reduce cellulite?
Cellulite has long been a concern for women all over the world; most of them believe that there is no effective treatment or cure and therefore think that they just have to learn to live with cellulite. Nothing could be further from the truth. Mesotherapy is safe and effective cellulite treatment that eliminates dimpling or the cottage cheese look. Cellulite is caused by poor circulation to the skin, bound lymphatics, fat herniation and weakening of the connective tissues. Mesotherapy treats cellulite by improving circulation, strengthening connective tissues, dissolving fat and the elimination of dimples. Literally nothing on the market previously or today comes close to the results that Mesotherapy achieves with cellulite and fat reduction. At Norris we often combine a light treatment called Photoactif to complement cellulite reduction of Mesotherapy. Lipotherapy is the name we apply to the combined treatment of Mesotherapy and Photoactif (Photomesotherapy).
Who Can Have Mesotherapy?
Adults between the ages of 18-75 in good health are candidates for Mesotherapy. Patients, who are pregnant or breast-feeding are not candidates. There may be certain medical problems that make it wise not to perform the procedure. All this is discussed during your free consultation.
Are there any side effects?
The most common side effect of Mesotherapy is transient bruising, which generally resolves over a week or two. To diminish or prevent bruising we provide complementary Arnica, a supplement available orally or topically. Itching, redness and swelling can occur and usually disappear in one to two days. Patients may experience temporary soreness which can last two to seven days, but shouldn’t prevent normal activities.
Is Mesotherapy Safe?
The method has been used successfully in France since 1952 with no known harmful side affects. It is taught in European medical schools and has been administered by over 10,000 physicians to hundreds of thousands of patients with safety. Mesotherapy is an office procedure which takes only 30 to 60 minutes depending on the areas treated. You can return to normal daily activity immediately. There is zero downtime.
Most people will require 4-6 sessions to achieve results, sometimes more depending on how severe the problem area is.
When will I see results?
Patients usually don’t see results in the first and second treatments. Results become noticeable after the third treatment and very noticeable with the fourth treatment. Normally four to six treatments are required, depending on the individual.
Will the results last?
The effects are permanent.
